Adlene “Addie” Shull (1934-2020)

Adlene M. “Addie” Shull, age 86, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 2:45 A.M. on Monday, May 18, 2020, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mrs. Shull worked as a custodian for the City of Bryan and had worked at 50 Corporation in Bryan.

Addie enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre, and was an avid golfer, playing 21 years at Suburban Golf Course, and bowled in Bryan for 35 years. She was also a Life Member of Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233.

Adlene was born on February 14, 1934, in Fulton County, Ohio, the daughter of Royce and Dorothy (Call) West. She married Vincent C. Shull on July 30, 1950, in Bryan and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2013.

Survivors also include daughters, Charlene M. (Gary) Quidort, of Winter Garden, Florida, and Terrie Lynn (Ralph) Brown, of Charlotte, North Carolina; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and siblings, Barbara Addington, of Stryker, Ohio, Dick West, of Vero Beach, Florida, Nancy McClain, of Pine Hurst, North Carolina, and Willobell Turbine, of Manning, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Thomas Vincent Shull; daughter, Deborah S. Pendleton; and sisters, Betty Johnson and Shirley Haffley.


Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, there will be no visitation or services. Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, has been entrusted with Addie’s services. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Vincent, at Brown Cemetery .

Memorials are requested to the David Betts Double Play Diamond Baseball Field or to Williams County Habitat for Humanity.
