ARCHBOLD: May 2 – Seven teams took part in the 2014 Archbold Walker/Dilbone Relays on May 2. Of those seven teams, four were culled from the NWOAL, with hometown Archbold hosting the Patrick Henry Patriots, the Liberty Center Tigers and the Wauseon Indians.
As the events of the day progressed, it became apparent that the real slugfest would be between two of the NWOAL competitors, the Tribe and their hosts. In the end, it was the hometown boys hanging on by the skins of their collective teeth to fend off their conference rivals by a razor thin four-point margin. Archbold amassed 102 team points to take first at their event, with the Indians still within striking range in second with 98 points.
