Hilltop 15, Pettisville 3 (5 innings)

PETTISVILLE – Hilltop got off to an impressive start in its Buckeye Border Conference opener as they defeated Pettisville, 15-3, in five innings.

Isabella Ackley led a 12-hit attack for the Cadets (6-2, 1-0 BBC) with three hits and drove in two runs. Kelsy Connolly drove in four runs with a double and a triple.

Connolly was the winning pitcher for Hilltop. She allowed three runs and three hits with 10 strikeouts and a walk.

Pettisville fell to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in BBC action.
