PIONEER – For the second time in three days, Montpelier defeated North Central, 13-2, but it was also the Buckeye Border Conference opener for both teams.
Maggie Jacob and Morgan Bechtol led the Locos (2-2, 1-0 BBC) with two hits each, including a double, while combining to drive in four runs. Neriah Thorp also had two hits.
Cailyn Meyers led North Central (0-4, 0-1 BBC) with a triple. Emyrson Hollstein and Rose Mills both doubled.
