Benson LaMarr Johnson, age 75, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away at 5:53 A.M. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Park View Care Center in Edgerton, where he was a resident.
Mr. Johnson was employed with the family business, JBM Tool & Die, in Bryan, Ohio, for many years.
He enjoyed all things railroad and black Labrador retrievers and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
He was also devoted to his Catholic faith as a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton.
Benson LaMarr Johnson was born on May 3, 1947, in Garrett, Indiana, the son of Ezra and Rose Mary (Cape) Johnson.
Survivors include two sisters, Dawne (Terry Husted) Beverly, of Bradenton, Florida, and Kellie (Tim) Osborn, of Divide, Colorado; one brother, Guy Joe Johnson, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; several nephews and nieces; and his beloved friend and guardian, Zandra Rowlison, of Edgerton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joyce Eberly.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Church, followed by interment in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors in the church for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M.
Memorials are requested to St. Mary Catholic Church or to the Williams County Humane Society.
