Betty Jo Davis, 73, formerly of Fayette, died Sunday evening, September 3, 2017, at The Laurels of Defiance. Born October 13, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Deloss and Helen (Glaser) Maginn.
A graduate of Gorham-Fayette High School, Betty lived the majority of her life in Fayette and formerly worked as a telephone operator for GTE. She was a member of the Fayette United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Fulton Chapter 67 in Wauseon.
Betty was a social butterfly and was most content being in the company of others. She was very particular about her appearance, and prided herself in coordinating her style and look from head to toe.
Surviving are her son, Robert Davis of Fort Wayne, IN; two sisters, Mary Sue (Kurt) Heiland of Ruskin, FL and Margie “Maggie” Maginn of Cleveland Heights, OH; a brother, John (Vicki) Maginn of Fayette; a granddaughter, Anne Davis of Defiance; a sister-in-law, Beverly Maginn of Ruskin, FL; and a brother-in-law, Robert Powers of Havana, IL.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by three siblings, Donald Maginn, Bonnie Powers, and Charles Maginn.
