Bryan City School District Board of Education meeting was held on Oct. 19, 2015 at 7 pm in the Mose A. Isaac Field House Conference Room. Many items were discussed at this time. The Treasurer’s Report was approved. Donations were received from Financial Bank to the Athletic Department, Ceramic Molds from Carol Sharp was received for the Art Department, and Claire Newcomer Club gave a donation to the MS Guidance Department.
In the construction project, the delivery was delayed until Nov. 2 which slowed the progress of the masonry. In other construction projects, steel is to be installed for the gymnasium roof but could be delayed due to the weather. The construction schedule is being adjusted accordingly.
School Personnel was discussed. A change in hours were approved for bus drivers Erica Hageman, Lori Douglas, and Tom Hall . Classified Personnel transfers were approved for Carol Hoffman to Lincoln Elementary effective 10/5/2015, Bridget Smith to Washington Elementary effective 10/13/15, and Aaron Hughs to Washington Elementary effective 10/14/2015. Supplemental contracts were approved for the following: Doug Billman as Head Boys Basketball Coach; Maurice Zuver, Steve Lamberson, and Blake Rockey for Assistant HS Boys Basketball Coaches. Assistant HS Girls Basket ball coaches will be Kathy Lamberson and Bob Klopfenstein. Shelden Struble is the Assistant HS Wrestling Coach. Mackenzie Luce is Head Swimming coach and assistant will be Kathryn Rockey. Head Bowling Coach is Doug Miller and assistants are Kathy Jo Miller and Dustin Gillett. In the Middle School, Larry Snavely and Jacob Parker will be Boys Basketball Coaches. Tiffany Heller and Melanie Reinhart will be Girls Basketball coaches. Dana Grant and Del Miller are the wrestling coaches. Approved Norman Beck for Substitute Teacher; Classified are Jennifer Andrews, Amanda Figgins, and Judy Smith. Volunteers for the Athletic Department are Season Sanders, Matt Dominique, Doug Moor, and John Jackson.
The meeting ended with Executive Session with no action being taken.
