The Chesterfield Township Trustees held their meeting on Monday, March 2, 2026. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance before moving to approval of the minutes from the previous meeting, followed by approval of the bills presented for payment.
Fiscal Officer Peggy Volkman then presented the township’s financial reports, which included the payment register, receipt register, fund status, cash journal, cash summary by fund, and bank reconciliation report.
The payment listing reviewed covered the period from February 17 through March 2. Volkman also reminded trustees of an upcoming zoning meeting scheduled for March 4 at 7 p.m.
During her report, Volkman shared information from a recent meeting with Matt Towers of InnovaTek regarding improvements to the township’s computer security.
Recommendations included establishing a paid business email account through Google for $7 per month and adding an InnovaTek email security service for $2 per month.
The township also discussed replacing the ThreatDown system currently provided through UAN with Huntress, an endpoint detection and response (EDR) and managed detection and response (MDR) system recommended as an added layer of protection at a cost of $60 per year.
Trustees approved moving forward with the paid business email account and switching to the Huntress system through InnovaTek.
Trustees also approved a Then and Now purchase order, identified as PO 24-2026, in the amount of $179.68 for National Oil and Gas.
Road matters were then addressed, with Herb Harris reporting that he had taken the township truck in to have the starter replaced.
Trustees also discussed an upcoming roads meeting hosted by the Fulton County Engineer’s Office scheduled for Friday, March 6 at 8 a.m. in the administration building.

Bradly Nofziger and Tyler White planned to attend and were also expected to meet with Haley Dockery regarding a township road project that requires prework.
In other road-related business, trustees signed right of way permits from Charter Communications that had been received from the Fulton County Engineer.
The board also approved a bid from G.T. Contracting, dated February 13, 2026, in the amount of $27,000. With no other items to attend to, the meeting was adjourned.
