Wauseon is gearing up for its annual “Christmas in Wauseon” Ice Sculpting Event, set to take place on December 20th and 21st.
This year’s event promises to be a spectacular display of artistry and holiday cheer, featuring the renowned ice sculptor Chad Hartson from Ice Creations.
The event will span two days, with ice sculpting scheduled from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Friday, December 20th, and from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 21st. Attendees can look forward to a variety of intricate ice sculptures adorning the streets, each sponsored by local businesses.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, special guests the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who will make an appearance on Saturday, December 21st, delighting children and families alike.
Local businesses are encouraged to participate by sponsoring an ice sculpture to be displayed in front of their establishments. Sponsorship is available for $180, and businesses can specify their desired sculpture design. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community and showcase creativity during the holiday season.
The event, organized by the Wauseon Chamber of Commerce, has consistently attracted over 30 participants each year, making it a cherished tradition in the community. Last year’s schedule featured a diverse lineup of sponsors, including RSM Services, Blue Ribbon Diner, and Wauseon Public Library, among others.
For those interested in sponsoring an ice sculpture, please respond with your business details and sculpture preferences. Join us in celebrating the holiday spirit with this unique and enchanting event.
