Derek J. Hartsock

3647450_wlppDerek J. Hartsock, age 27, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at his home. Derek was a 2006 graduate of Bryan High School where he was an outstanding athlete. He received many varsity letters in football, wrestling and baseball. He also attended Miami University.

Derek had worked as a quality inspector at Lippert in Middlebury, Indiana. He was a member of Life Changing Realities Fellowship church and played on the church softball team. He was a member of six softball teams this year. Derek also loved music and playing guitar. He loved his dogs, his friends and family and especially adored his little sister.

Derek J. Hartsock was born May 18, 1988 in Bryan, the son of Steven D. Hartsock and Mary L. (Funkhouser) Hartsock. He is survived by his father, Steve Hartsock, of Bryan; mother, Mary Hartsock, of Montpelier; sister, Amanda Hartsock, of Bryan and his grandparents, Merlin and Mary Lou Baker, of Bryan, Robert and Laura Hartsock, of Montpelier and Philip and Sue Funkhouser, of West Unity.

Visitation for Derek will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 2:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio 43506. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Byron Adams officiating.

Memorial contributions are requested to the Williams County Humane Society or the family.
