Diane Wheeler, 78, of Wauseon, Ohio, died late Wednesday evening, October 30, 2019, at Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon.
She was born October 25, 1941, in Montpelier, Ohio, to the late Lee and Lillian (Haddox) Baughman. On February 13, 1960, she married Emerson William Wheeler, and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2008.
Diane worked at Reichert Stamping in Toledo for many years and then worked as a homemaker. She loved her family and friends, and in her free time, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, travelling, and most of all casinos. She also enjoyed going the senior center in Morenci, Michigan.
Surviving Diane are son, Brian K. Wheeler of Wauseon, Ohio; daughter, Patricia (James) Miller of Metamora, Ohio; grandchildren, Heather, Nathan (Allison), and Hilary Wheeler, Zach, Victoria, and Sarah Miller, and Kim Skates; and sisters, Patricia Ann Deal and Louella Belcher. She is also survived by many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Diane was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Scott Wheeler in 1989; grandson, JJ Miller in 2005; sister, Sarah Jane Lumbardo; and brothers, Frank, Paul, and Robert Baughman.
In keeping with Diane’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. A graveside service will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Hillsdale County, in Spring of 2020.
