Pastor Donald I. Ramsey of Montpelier, Ohio went on to glory Sunday January 29, 2017 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born on June 21, 1942 to Winton L. and Jessie L. (Morrow) Ramsey in Youngstown, Ohio. He was married to Ruth Ann Caldwell in 1963 in Sharon, PA. Pastor Ramsey is survived by his wife; two daughters, Donna Ramsey (Brent) Feorene of Westlake, Ohio and Karen Elaine Ramsey of Washington, DC; three grandchildren, Catherine, Brent, and Camille Feorene of Westlake; two brothers David (Judy) Ramsey of Bloomington, IL and Richard (Ruth Ann Ogle) Ramsey of Hagerstown, MD; and a sister Ruth (Joe) Vukovich of Hubbard, OH.
Pastor Ramsey was a 1960 graduate of Brookfield High School in Brookfield, Ohio, Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania in 1979, and United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio in 1982. He served God as a pastor for over 30 years in the United Methodist Church and was active in Emmaus. He was currently attending the First United Methodist Church in Montpelier.
Don will be remembered for all of his silly jokes and great sense of humor.
To honor Don’s life all of the churches the he served will hold a dedicated Sunday service in his memory.
