The Dover Township Trustees held their meeting on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Dover Township Hall. Trustee Chairman Owen Borton called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m., with trustees Brett Wyse and Steve Gustwiller present.
Also present were Fiscal Officer Dianne Valentine and Maintenance Supervisor Larry Lammon. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by approval of the previous meeting minutes as presented.
The fiscal officer’s report followed, with Valentine presenting the previous month’s bank reconciliation, fund summary, appropriation status and revenue status for review. Reports of the current month’s receipts and payment listing were also presented.
Trustees approved the payment listing for the month in the amount of $22,068.44.
The board also signed an AUP audit engagement letter, with signatures from Board President Borton and the fiscal officer.
Trustees then reviewed an email from Kathryn Fahrer regarding cottage food sales on her property. She was advised to check with the Regional Planning Commission as well.

In maintenance business, trustees reviewed fuel usage logs before approving Resolution 2026-09, authorizing the township to participate in the ODOT salt contract and reserve 25 tons of salt for the 2026 to 2027 season.
Maintenance officials also discussed additional work to be done on basins along Road 17, and it was noted that crack sealing has started.
The board also discussed a tree on the west side of township property and whether it should be removed for safety reasons due to nearby power lines and drainage concerns.
There was nothing to report under cemetery business. The next regular meeting was set for Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., one day later than usual due to the Memorial Day holiday. With no further business, trustees voted to adjourn at 8:45 p.m.
