Pulaski Township Trustees met in a regular session on Tuesday, April 28 at the Township Hall.
Trustees in attendance were Scott Noble, Tom Saul, and Terry Witte. Also present were zoning inspector Todd Burkholder and township road supervisor Steven Hobeck.
Burkholder, who also serves as zoning inspector for Center and Springfield Townships, gave a presentation about online zoning maps.
He had met with county officials about integrating the township to get into a zoning map system.
Burkholder told the trustees that this alternative would cost $1,000 for a one-time fee for three townships, so each township will be paying $333.00 for the one-time fee.
To do this, it would also cost $30 a month for technical support, updates, and data center hosting. He noted that the program will feature every zoned parcel within the township.
Noble made a motion to pay the $333.00 for the one-time fee and agreed to do the $360.00 for monthly maintenance fees at $30 per month, basically to have product and data support. The motion was approved and would take effect on May 1.
Regarding the roof repairs on the township building, Noble said that he hasn’t heard anything from the contractors concerning the roof. He said quite possibly it was because they had a lot of other work to do with all of the recent storms.
Trustees also discussed the upcoming chip and seal work to be done on township roads this summer. Ward Construction of Leipsic is contracted to do the work.
Township roads scheduled for chip and seal work will be from County Road F-75 to County Road G, County Road 17 between County Roads E & F, partial work on Mill Street in Pulaski, and part of County Road 17, 100 feet south of County Road E-50, near the railroad tracks.
Despite the smaller amount of distance among the township roads being done this summer, Hobeck suggested to the Trustees in regards of spending money with Ward Construction if Williams County can do it.
Trustee member Tom Saul told Hobeck to contact County Engineer Todd Roth to see if the county is willing to do the chip and seal work. This would save the township a lot of money.
Next meeting is Tuesday, May 12 at 6:30 p.m.
