The Edgerton Planning Commission meeting from February 22 began with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a prayer from Mayor Robert Day.

In the first order of business, the planning commission approved of the meeting minutes from January 5.

The main point of this meeting was to discuss two parcels of the Dream Haven area of Edgerton. The first parcel will stay with its original use.

Parcel Two is a proposed lot split, in which Khris Sines and his mother Pegge want to open a drive-in theatre. Sines has done a lot of the pre-work for the area, including getting permission for porta potties and the concession stands will function like a food truck.

Sines has also set up for a truck to empty the porta potties once a week. Sines plans for a tentative start date of June 1.

The commission approved of the lot split, a zoning change, which now gets forwarded to the Edgerton Village Council.

If council approves of the zoning change, the area will be entered as general business, to be run as a drive-in theatre.

The commission then voted to adjourn the meeting.

Khris Sines in the manager and Pegge Sines is the owner. She is my mother and owns the property. Our plan is to be open the first weekend in June. Thanks for the support!
