Edgerton, April 12, 2023: On April 28, 2022, at 10 am, the Edgerton Local Schools and the Village of Edgerton will hold an Arbor Day celebration.
The VOE tree commission will be planting the tree, an ivory silk lilac tree and the VOE would like to extend a special invitation to the community.
The tree will be placed at Edgerton Local Schools, in honor of Thomas Kitchen.
Thomas Kitchen was not only a EHS 1960 graduate, member of the ’59 State Champion Basketball team but also a lifelong athletic supporter of Edgerton Local schools.
Tom had the ability to create relationships with young people of all ages, which in turn, built lasting relationships through the years…
“We would like to take this opportunity to recognize his service and contribution to our community”, said Edgerton Mayor Robert Day.
Edgerton, OH is a Tree City USA, a designation received from the Arbor Day Foundation, in honor of their commitment to effective urban forest management.
