The Edon Northwest Board of Education met on February 8th in regular session. BOE member Jamie Schaffter was not in attendance.

During the meeting, it was discussed that the school has teamed up with the Williams County Health Department to provide COVID vaccinations for the District’s Teachers and Staff.

The bus barn is currently being renovated to open up more usable space in the building. Offices inside the building that were not being utilized have been torn out, and general housekeeping has been going on.

The District has been working with BSN Sports and VIP Branding to bring apparel and merchandise utilizing the Districts new logo to the BSN website. The site can be accessed by visiting bsnsports.com and clicking on the Sideline Store.

The Board had their first reading of the 2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024 school calendar. This is a departure from the usual one-year calendar to ease the process and to give ample time for students and staff to known when school will be in session.

The Board approved a revised Fiscal Year 2021 contract with the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center for fees to be deducted from Foundation payments. Also approved was the amounts and rates authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Auditor which is a yearly action.

The Board accepted the resignation of Brittany Held as the Assistant 9th Grade Basketball Coach. They also approved the following Supplemental Contracts- Caela Walker- 5th and 6th Grade Girls Basketball, Tacia Livensparger- 9th Grade Assistant Girls Basketball, Steven Stamper- Junior High Track, and Hannah Brehm-Gutting and Riley Bloir- Volunteer High School Track Assistants.
