EDON – The process of outgrowing growing pains is just as unpleasant as the growing pains themselves, but the Edon Bombers took a huge step in that direction on February 1. Facing BBC nemesis Pettisville on the friendly floor of The Hangar, the Boys in Bomber Blue took a game-high 17 points from Kaden Sapp, added a dozen from Jacob Brown, and spun a balanced attack into a 53-45 win.

Edon opened with a 15-10 run in the first and never looked back. The Blackbirds were able to shave a point off the lead at the half, but the hometown boys held sway with a 27-23 second half for the win.

Mike Peeples and River Wicker each put in 8 points in support of Sapp and Brown, while Reid Bowling and Dakota Parish each had 3 points and Brock Thiel had 2.

David Reyes led 5-10 / 3-4 Pettisville with 11 points, while Dominic Frey had 10 points and Austin Dykstra 8. Jacob Valdez went for 7 points, Kurt Siegel had 5 points and Forest Stuckey 4.
