Edon FFA June2015 - Provided (1) WEBEdon FFA continued a long tradition of heading to Ohio’s capital each spring by attending the Ohio FFA Convention. The Ohio FFA held its yearly State Convention in Columbus over the weekend of April 31st and May 1st. Edon FFA was recognized for many awards during multiple sessions of the convention. Our chapter was presented a certificate for donating $200 to the Children’s Hospital, a banner for our First Place Grain Merchandising Team and four members received their State FFA Degrees during the final session!

Our four degree recipients were Heath Brown, Kyle Long, Tyler Seaman, and Morgan Hiller. All qualified for the degree this winter, through a tough selection process and met all requirements for this honor.

Highest achievement earned by Edon chapter members this year was our First Place State Grain Merchandising Team! Members included Phillip Richmond, Tyler Seaman, Preston Thiel, Garrett Trausch, Kyle Long, and Kaden Sapp. The team was coached by Joe Radabaugh from the Edon Farmers Co-op. Thank you Joe for all your help and encouragement.

Additionally, Edon FFA recently held its annual Sausage Sale during the month of May. To date our chapter has sold 4,338 pounds of sausage, which includes four different varieties. We are continuing to sell Salt and Pepper, Hot Italian, Sweet Italian, and Plain flavors of sausage, until our supplies run out! Our chapter also sold 207 bottles of barbeque sauce from DB Yummers, whose flavors include Sweet and Smokey or Spicy. If you would like to purchase some sausage or barbeque sauce from the Edon FFA you can call the school at 419-272-3213.
