Students in grades one through six at Edon Northwest Local Schools were honored during the final 2012-2013 Bring Up Grades (BUG) Program Awards Assembly held Friday morning, May 24 in the Schools Auditeria. Bryan Kiwanis Club members Deborah Rohrs and Tom Schweitzer along with Academic Booster Club members Sue LaDuke and Patti Curry joined Principal Bonnie Troyer in hosting the annual event.

Honorees from each class received certificates and special rewards in recognition for being named BUG Recipients (bringing up one subject grade without lessening grades in other subjects) for the Fourth Nine Week Grading Period. Kiwanis program sponsors commended each student on their hard work, noting two hundred forty BUG awards had been presented this past school year to one hundred eighty-nine students accomplishing their goals.
In conjunction with the BUG Assembly, Academic Boosters celebrated accomplishments also realized by students for the fourth nine week grading period.
Recognized were Awesome Achievers (achieving all Fours or all Fours and Fives in their subjects), High Fives Award Recipients (achieving all Fives in each subject) and those attaining Perfect Attendance for the quarter as well as the entire 2012-2013 School Year; each student received a certificate and treats to mark these huge successes.
