PETTISVILLE: January 31, 2014 – The Edon Bombers took to the road on January 31 to take on BBC power Pettisville, upsetting the host Blackbirds 49-44 and spoiling the Blackbirds perfect conference record.
Jacob Brown led the Bombers in the upset with 14 on the night; Mike Peeples and River Wicker joined Brown in double figures with 12 and 11 respectively. Wicker had the hot hand from the three range, nailing 3 of 4 on the night. Brock Thiel and Kaden Sapp each had 4, and Wyatt Walkowski chipped in 2.
For Pettisville, Austin Dykstra led the Blackbirds with 13 and Tate Kauffman followed up with 8. Josh Liechty and Korban Rychener each had 7 on the night. Jeremy Mann contributed 5 and Noah Miller rounded out the scoring with 2.
With the victory, Edon moves to 3-3 in the BBC and 6-7 on the season and Pettisville dropped to 5-1 in the BBC and 7-7 for the year.
