The Edon Village Council Meeting started with a Call to Order and the Reading and Approval of Minutes.

Presentation of Financial Report and Bills: Discussion of Maumee Valley and their suggestions and changes in zoning rules, some of those changes need to go before council for approval and a public hearing will take place before the next council meeting.

The Railroad St. Project to start on May 24, 2021

The Street Lights LED Program: This is a normal street lights maintenance program that when a street light fails it will be replaced with an LED light. The southeast quadrant of town is scheduled to be replaced this summer.

Public Works Building Project: A new Public Works Building is needed, one that is large enough to house equipment and still be able to work inside of the building without having to move 2 or more pieces of equipment outside. The estimated cost of a building such as this is around one million dollars.

A council member voiced concerns about the cost and wanted to know what other options are on the table besides the construction of a new building.

The option of building onto the current structure has been discussed but the age and condition of the current building is a cause for concern and could become quite costly for renovations.

The construction of a new building is still in the discussion stage.

Ordinance 03-21 Approving CRA Plan – Approved

Resolution of 03-21 for the renewal of the levy for the Edon Cemetery for the Williams County Auditor certified and the current tax gyration for the subdivision and the dollar amounts of the revenue to be generated to the Ohio Revised Code 5705.03 and declaring it an emergency.

This just to ask the auditor to tell you what the levy will generate then there will be an ordinance to actually ask for the levy once the auditor gives the information. Rules Suspended/Passed
