Ernest “Junebug” R. Gibson, Jr., 47, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on January 24, 1971 in Beckley, West Virginia to Ernest R. and Donna (Ellenwood) Gibson, Sr. On July 17, 2010 he married Joanna L. Will in Angola, Indiana and she survives.
Ernest attended Hope Church in Fort Wayne. He worked at Metals USA in Butler, Indiana for approximately 5 years, he was also a security guard for several businesses in the Fort Wayne area. Most recently Ernest worked with the Amish in Harlan, Indiana area.
He is survived by his wife Joanna; mother Donna (David) Gibson of Edon; and sister Theresa L. Fisher of Auburn, Indiana. Ernest was preceded in death by his father and infant brother Denny Lee Gibson.
Visitation for Ernest will be on Saturday, February 24th from 11am-1pm at Thompson-Geesey Funeral Home on Empire Street in Montpelier. Services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Slagle to officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
