FAYETTE – Tyler Cox stepped up in a big way on December 13 against Stryker. Pitted against the talented Parker Ruffer, Cox rang up a game-high 14 points and turned in some defensive gems as his Fayette Eagles took out Stryker by a 47-35 score.

While Cox hammered the interior, Chandler Sanford and Koby Biddix dialed 9 from the perimeter to give the Eagles a first period lead that they never surrendered. The Panthers were able to stay close until the final frame, where the Eagles converted at the line to put the game away.

Cox finished with 14, while Sanford had 11 and Zayne Colegrove 7 for the Eagles. Biddix canned 5 points, Cole Burkholder and Logan Franks had 4 points apiece, and Patty Hookstadt had 2.

Ruffer was limited to 11 points for the Panthers, with Cole Heath getting 6 points, Austin Robison 5 and Luke Graber and Hunter Clingaman 4 points apiece. Tanner Clingaman finished with 3 points, and Dean Beamont had a pair.
