2015 pool grand opening 015 WEBThe long awaited new swimming pool for 4-H Camp Palmer was officially opened on May 31! Cutting the ribbon for the project included: Jill Stechshulte-4-H Education and Fulton County Extension Director, Neere Emmons-President of Fulton County Dairy Association, Lisa Onweller- Executor of Helen Sell Estate bequest and Jack Brace, President of Bryan Area Foundation. The Camp Palmer Staff and board are very thankful to our hundreds of donors that have made this project a reality.

Two of our most recent donations have included a gift of $5000 from The Farmers & Merchants State Bank and $1000 gift and additional $2000 pledge from Sherwood State Bank. On the grand opening day Jill Stechschulte made a splash for cash challenge, received $6000 in new pledges and then plunged into the pool! Currently 4-H Camp Palmer is still accepting donations as they have collected $330,000 of the needed $505,000 for the project.

On June 3 the Kids’ Outdoor Science Camp began our 68th year of serving youth 4-H camps, band camps, outdoor education school groups and retreat groups. The youth are enjoying the new pool and many new features!

Please call 419-237-2247 or email 4hcamppalmer@gmail.com for more information on camp or pool project. 4-H Camp Palmer is a non-profit 501c3 organization, additional donations and purchasing dedicated bricks are also welcomed to support this project.
