FCCC Board Of Education Approves Five-Year Contract For Superintendent

On November 21, 2024, the Four County Career Center Board of Education held the Regular Board Meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Four County Career Center. The Records Commission

Committee met prior to the meeting. Summer work experience presentations were made by Kelli Alspaugh, Mike Meyer, Eric Hite, Joyce Golz and Matt Scarberry.

As part of the Treasurer’s Report, the Board approved:

-October Board Meeting Minutes.
-Financial statements and investments for the month of October 2024 as presented.
-Appropriation modifications.
-Then and Now Certification.
-GAAP financial statements and report for the year ending June 30, 2024.
-The 5-Year Financial Forecast and assumptions for Fiscal Years ending June 30, 2025 through 2029.

As part of the Superintendent’s Report, the board accepted and/or approved the following items:

-Resignation for the purpose of retirement for Janet Knierim effective December 31, 2024.
-Resignation for the purpose of retirement for Kevin Thomas effective May 31, 2025.
-Certified and Internal Substitutes as presented.
-Employment and Resignation of Public Safety Instructors.
-Donation by Swanton Welding to sandblast the bridge handrails.

The Board also accepted/approved the following items:

-Set the Organizational Board Meeting for January 9, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.
-The lease agreement with NWOGA for the Napoleon CBI location.
-Authorization of the Superintendent to execute a three-year lease agreement with Pinnacle Enterprise Group LLC for two suites at the Arrowhead facility in Maumee for the Adult Education Safety Program.
-Authorization of the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with Garmann Miller for limited professional services of elevator replacement.
-Authorization of the Superintendent to enter into a memo of understanding with Defiance College to offer the STNA and CNA program classes.
-A resolution authorizing the purchase and installation of certain equipment and approving an exception due to conditions of urgent necessity for a Bi-Directional Amplifier Communications Network.
-A resolution dispensing with statutory bidding procedures due to conditions of urgent necessity for elevator replacement.
-A resolution to participate in Cooperative Purchasing Programs of the Ohio Schools Council.
-Issued a 5-year contract to Jeffrey Slattery, Superintendent, Effective August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2030.

Upcoming meetings involving members of the Four County Career Center Board of Education include the regular December Board Meeting, on December 19, 2024 at 5:30 in Room A101A at Four County Career Center.
