Four County Career Center Board Of Education Holds August Meeting

The August Meeting of the Four County Career Center Board of Education was held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Board Room at Four County Career Center. During the meeting, the following business was conducted:

As part of the Treasurer’s Report, the board approved:
•The July Meeting Minutes.

•The financial statements and investments for the month of July as presented.

•Extending the current VSP contract for a year for vision insurance for the months of November and December 2015, and begin VSP services as a part of the NBHP Consortium effective January 1, 2016.

•Setting up Fund 499-9016 for the Ohio Career Counseling Pilot Program Grant.

•Appropriation Modifications as presented.

As part of the Superintendent’s Report, the board accepted and/or approved the following items:
•One-year contracts to Marissa Ferry as Accounting Specialist and Alysia Fickel as custodian.

•One-year contract to Angie Fahy as Adult Ed Financial Aid and Program Assistant.

•Lab/Lab Instructors as presented.

•Certified Substitute list as presented.

•Internal Substitute list as presented.

•Janet Jerger and Sheila Jones as School Nurse substitutes.

•The Mentor Teacher list as presented.

•Teresa Borton as the District Mentor Coordinator.

•To employ the following as Club Advisors:
Michele Nafziger – FCCLA
Angela Ballerd – Student Council
Tom Berteau – National Vo-Tech Honor Society
Matt Zwyer – National Vo-Tech Honor Society

•To employ Emalene Jeffery for “CT2” for 20 days for the 2014-2015 school year.

•To employ Janet Jerger as “STNA Testing Instructor” for the 2014-2015 school year.

•Cafeteria Substitutes as presented.

•Secretarial Substitutes as presented.

•Custodial Substitutes as presented.

Carlin co -Auction

•Bus Drivers as presented.

•Instructors for the 5th Quarter Ag Education Grant as presented.

•Moving Hanna Miller Boroff to the Masters column on the salary schedule effective at the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year.

•Board Policies as presented.

N W Brown Electric

•The Work Order Form for Carpentry.

•Moving the October Board Meeting to Wednesday, October 14 at 7:00 PM.

Under Board Committee Reports, the Board received updates from:
•Legislative Liaison
•Directors

Upcoming meetings involving members of the Four County Career Center Board of Education include the regular September Board Meeting on September 17, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room at Four County Career Center.
