Fredric “Bubba” Reimann (1968 – 2024)

Fredric “Bubba” James Reimann, age 55, of Swanton, passed away peacefully under hospice care Community Health Professionals in Defiance on May 7, 2024.

He was born on November 26, 1968 in Tonawanda, NY to the late Diane Marie (McLean) Cole, who passed away on July 22, 2023 and Robert Ernest Cole, who survives.

Fred graduated from Evergreen High School and later received his criminal justice training and peace officer training.


In 1992, he then attended the University of Toledo, where he received his Associate Degree in Business in 2002. Fred would start his long peace officer career as a patrolman and then assistant police chief with the Village of Edon from 1992 – 2005 and part of the K-9 department at Edgerton from 1998 – 2000.

Fred most recently served as captain of the Haviland Police Department and an investigator with the State of Ohio ODMH – Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital in Toledo.

He also served with the Bryan Police Department and Grover Hill Police Department. Fred was a member of FOP #140.


He was most known by his friends and family for always being positive and willing to help anytime they needed. Fred will be remembered for his sense of humor and being able to make friends laugh, even during difficult times.

In addition to his mother, Diane Cole, Fred was preceded in death by his police canine service dog, Shadow.

He is survived by his father, Robert E. Cole; brother, Greg Cole; uncles, William McLean, and Dennis (Donna) McLean, his beloved canine, Callie and many dear friends.

In honoring Fred’s wishes, there will be no public services. Cremation and arrangements are cared for by Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St Hwy 109, Delta, Ohio 43515.


Those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Fulton County Humane Society, 22450 Co Rd F, Archbold, Ohio 43502 and your local Sheriff’s Department in his memory and name.
