The Fulton County Commissioners met for their regular session on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by an opening prayer and roll call. Commissioners then approved the minutes from the January 8, 2026, meeting and adopted the agenda as presented.
Under old business, commissioners approved payment of bills submitted by the county auditor. The board also reviewed dog warden reports for the periods ending December 13, December 20, and December 27, 2025.
Several financial actions were approved during new business. Commissioners authorized multiple advance- back transactions involving gas tax motor vehicle funds and the general fund, including a $100,000 advance related to the Bridge 10-3RS.3 replacement project.
The board also approved an increase in appropriations totaling $1,502,000 for capital improvements tied to the Pleasant View Wastewater Treatment Plant project, a reimbursement- based grant requiring full project funding to be appropriated upfront.
Additionally, a small appropriations transfer of $200.73 was approved within the Regional Planning Commission budget.
Commissioners next approved a resolution authorizing the submission of a Chemical Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know grant application to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency on behalf of the Fulton County Local Emergency Planning Committee.
The grant funding will support hazardous materials training and preparedness efforts for local first responders throughout the county.
The board then authorized the disposal of unneeded and obsolete equipment from the Fulton County Engineer’s Office through GovDeals. Items approved for disposal included a 2014 Case 721 F loader and a 2002 Eager Beaver 10-ton tag trailer.
Several personnel actions for the Fulton County Senior Center were approved during the meeting. Commissioners authorized the appointment of Richard Hunter as a part-time meal delivery driver, Sherryann Franks as a substitute and bus driver, and Terry Patterson as a substitute meal delivery driver, all pending completion of required employment screenings.
The commissioners also approved purchase orders and travel requests as submitted before adjourning for the day.
