The Fulton County Commissioners met for their regular session on Thursday, February 12, 2026, approving several financial measures, infrastructure projects, and an agreement involving the county jail system.
The board approved the minutes from the February 10 meeting and adopted the agenda as presented. Dog Warden reports for periods ending January 31 and February 7 were reviewed.
Among the financial actions, commissioners approved Resolution 2026-117, increasing appropriations within the Lodging Tax Fund.
The adjustments included $648.47 for the entity’s portion of lodging tax and $46,654.57 for the Visitor’s Bureau portion, reflecting fourth-quarter lodging tax distributions.
The board also approved Resolution 2026-118, authorizing the legal notice and advertisement for bids for the rehabilitation of Bridge 24A.9 in German Township.
The project involves improvements to a single-span steel beam bridge over Brush Creek between County Road A and Township Road B. The engineer’s estimate for the project is $320,000, with bids due March 3 at 9:00 a.m.
In airport-related business, commissioners accepted a $1,750 state grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation Office of Aviation as part of a $35,000 project to construct a taxi lane design at the Fulton County Airport. The remaining $33,250 will be covered by federal funding.
Commissioners also approved a memorandum of understanding with the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
Under the agreement, Fulton County will reserve 47 beds for calendar year 2026, a temporary reduction from its chartered allocation of 55 beds. The county’s 2026 proportionate share of the CCNO operating budget totals $1,199,684.
Additional resolutions included awarding the 2026 crack seal program bid, approving the 2025 road mileage certification, and authorizing various purchase orders and travel requests.
