The Fulton County Commissioners met for their regular session on Thursday, February 26, 2026. The meeting opened at 9:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and prayer, followed by roll call.
Commissioners first approved the minutes from the February 24 meeting, then the agenda as presented.
Under new business, commissioners approved an increase in appropriations totaling $70,847.15 for the Common Pleas Court Adult Probation Department.
The increase will fund the purchase and outfitting of a vehicle, including radio equipment, installation, emergency outfitting, and contingency expenses.
The board also approved entering into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Fulton County Health Center for temporary sheltering services.
Under the agreement, the Fulton County Senior Center will serve as a temporary sheltering location in the event the health center must evacuate patients or residents. The health center will reimburse the county at a predetermined rate, and the agreement will remain in effect unless terminated with written notice.
Commissioners approved Amendment No. 2 to Contract 2022-131 with Wessler Engineering for the Pleasant View Wastewater Treatment Plant replacement project.
The amendment increases the contract by $18,500 for construction administration services, bringing the total not-to-exceed fee to $42,000.
The board also awarded the bid for the Bridge G24.6 Rehabilitation project, as requested by the Fulton County Engineer.
With an engineer’s estimate of $900,000, the contract was awarded to The Ohio Bridge Corporation, doing business as US Bridge, in the amount of $685,329.78 as the lowest and best bid among three received.
In personnel matters, commissioners approved the appointment of Claire Nisely as a kitchen substitute for the Fulton County Senior Center at a rate of $15 per hour, pending successful completion of required employment screenings.
The meeting concluded with approval of purchase orders and travel requests as submitted. With nothing further, the meeting was adjourned.
