Fulton County Sheriff’s Office conducted two traffic blitzes in March that resulted in nine citations and 58 traffic stops according to Fulton County Sheriff Roy Miller.

The first blitz ran from March 1st through March 13th, 2021. Deputies who worked this blitz made 16 traffic stops and issued five citations. The citations issued were for three Speed violations, one Driving Under Suspension, and one Left of Center violation. Deputies also issued 12 warnings during the blitz.

The other blitz was designated the St. Patrick’s Day Blitz and ran from March 12th, 2021 thru March 18th, 2021. Deputies who worked this blitz made 42 traffic stops and issued four citations. The citations issued were for speed violations.

Deputies also issued 38 warnings during the blitz. Deputies also seized marijuana on two traffic stops and stopped a road rage incident on another.

The Traffic Enforcement Blitzes are paid for from a grant that the Sheriff’s Office received from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.

Sheriff Miller and his deputies are dedicated to protecting the citizens of Fulton County and the motorists who travel its highways.

This grant allows extra patrol to enforce the traffic laws that will increase the safety of motorists on the roadway in the areas that are prone to a higher number of serious and fatal crashes.
