Fulton County Grand Jury Indicts Thirteen Individuals

On November 21, 2016, the Fulton County Grand Jury considered indictments charging individuals with Fulton County crimes, according to Fulton County Prosecuting Attorney Scott A. Haselman.

Tiffany L. Thompson, age 41, of Delta, OH, was indicted on one count of Possession of Heroin and one count of Possession of Cocaine. On or about October 7, 2016, she allegedly possessed heroin and cocaine.

Sheila K. Grant, age 61, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on one count of Receiving Stolen Property and four counts of Forgery. On or about September 12, 2016, she allegedly received blank checks knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that they had been stolen. She also allegedly forged four checks.

James A. Powers, age 28, of Fayette, OH, was indicted on seven counts of Burglary and one count of Breaking and Entering. On or about September 28, 2016 to October 10, 2016, he allegedly trespassed in several occupied structures in Wauseon with purpose to commit a criminal offense.


Michael S. Coty, age 50, of Orestes, IN, was indicted on one count of Theft. On or about October 1, 2016, he allegedly stole property valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500.

David P. Mattin, age 36, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on one county of Criminal Damaging or Endangering, one count of Domestic Violence, and one count of Resisting Arrest. On or about October 30, 2016, he allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member and allegedly resisted arrest. He also allegedly caused a substantial risk of physical harm to the property of another.

Jad H. Sweidan, age 68, of Lyons, OH, was indicted on one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, two counts of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, and one count of Tampering With Evidence. On or about November 9, 2016, he allegedly sold or offered to sell a synthetic cannabinoid and allegedly tampered with evidence in an official proceeding or investigation.


Matthew R. Keiffer, age 38, of Toledo, OH, was indicted on one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs. On or about November 9, 2016, he allegedly possessed a synthetic cannabinoid.

Jose Rodriguez, age 43, of Archbold, OH, was indicted on one count of Identity Fraud. On or about August 20, 2016, he allegedly used or possessed personal identifying information of another person to hold himself out to be the other person.

Desteny R. Lamb, age 23, of Maumee, OH, was indicted on one count of Insurance Fraud, one count of Grand Theft, one count of Falsification in the Theft Offense, and one count of Perjury. On or about January 2, 2015 to October 4, 2016, she allegedly stole property or services valued at $7,500 or more but less than $150,000 and allegedly presented an insurance claim valued at more than $7,500 or more but less than $150,000, knowing it was false. She also allegedly made a false statement to facilitate the commission of a theft offense.

Carrue A. Buckenmeyer, age 23, of Toledo, OH, was indicted on one count of Vehicular Homicide, one count of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, and one count of Vehicular Assault. On or about August 4, 2016, she allegedly, while operating a motor vehicle, negligently and recklessly caused the death of a person and allegedly recklessly caused serious physical harm to another person.


Jitender Dua, age 39, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on one count of Illegal Use of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Benefits or WIC Program Benefits. On or about September 8, 2016, he allegedly accepted supplemental nutrition assistance program benefits or WIC program benefits in a manner not authorized by law.

David P. Tressler, III, age 34, of Delta, OH, was indicted on one count of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, one count of Illegal Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and one count of Illegal Use of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Benefits or WIC Program Benefits. On or about November 13, 2016, he allegedly operated a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and allegedly used or possessed drug paraphernalia. He also allegedly transferred supplemental nutrition assistance program benefits or WIC program benefits in a manner not authorized by law.

Robert T. Mattin, Jr, age 22, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on one count of Failure to Appear on Personal Recognizance Bond. On or about November 15, 2016, he allegedly failed to appear for sentencing on felony charges in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court.

It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation and that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
