All seniors are invited to a Veterans’ Breakfast on Tuesday, November 10 at 9:00 a.m. All veterans age 60 and over and their spouses will receive a free breakfast. All seniors are welcome. Suggested donation of $2.00 is asked for seniors who are not veterans. Please call 419-337-9299 by November 3 to make your breakfast reservation.
The menu will include pancakes, sausage links, fruit, and pastries.
Fulton County seniors who enjoy singing are invited to join the Senior Center Choir. Practices will be held at the Wauseon site at 1:00 pm on Tuesdays. Christmas sing-alongs are planned at Archbold, Fayette, Delta and Swanton Senior Center sites as well as Fulton Manor and a patriotic prelude at the Veterans’ Breakfast.
On Monday, November 16, students at Four County Career Center will host senior citizens from 9:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. A soup and sandwich luncheon will be available for $3.00 per person over the lunch hour. Seven thirty-minute activities will be offered throughout the day. Women may choose to receive a mini-manicure while men try their hand at a woodworking project. Other activities include how to make bows for flowers, create a winter bird feeder, basic health checks, small pet care, cupcake decorating, and Bingo. Career Center Student Ambassadors and Tour Guides will be available to assist and guide seniors through the building. Please contact Beth Flory at 419-337-9299 to register by November 2. Seniors are encouraged to drive or ride with others.
The Fulton County Senior Center offers sites at Wauseon, Archbold, Delta, Swanton, and Fayette. Each site offers meals and various services and activities such as shopping, parties, music, exercise, and community speakers. Call the Wauseon site at 419-337-9299 for more information.
