Hilltop Lady Cadets Defeat Edon Lady Bombers On The Road

EDON- The Hilltop Lady Cadets invaded the Edon Bombers home gym and came away with a match win on October 1, prevailing in three straight. The Lady Cadets gained the win in the first set 25-14, ran away with the second set 25-13 and gained the match victory in set three by the score of 25-17.

Sydney Schmitt had 11 digs and 29 assists. Brittney Mocherman had 4 digs, an assist and a kill along with 2 blocked shots, Emily Armbruster posted 12 digs, 1 assist and 11 kills. Kayla Settlemire had an ace, 16 digs and 7 kills. LeAnn Joost had 2 digs and 5 kills and 2 blocked shots, Cierra Grant posted 2 aces, 6 digs, 5 kills and a pair of blocks, and Kailey Creamer had 14 digs.

For the Lady Bombers, Kaela Gearhart went 8 for 8 serving; Alex Kiess went 8 for 8 serving, with 48 sets while Nicole Newell was 8 for 8 serving with 10 kills and 19 digs. Kaitlyn Manahan had 44 sets, Hannah Gutting had 6 kills, Haley Jacoby had 18 digs and Kaitlin Chrisman had 14 digs in the loss for the Lady Bombers.
