N0903P61001CAUBURN – Try as they might, the Lady Panthers of Lakewood Park could not get the persistent Lady Eagles of North Central out of their rearview mirrors for the first three quarters of their January 8 interstate tilt. Then came a proverbial ‘Katie bar the door’ fourth period for the visitors, and that was all she wrote. Lakewood Park took a 46-40 lead, added a 24-9 fourth period barrage, and came up roses with a 70-49 win.

Bralyn Wyrick led all scorers with 20 points for North Central, but she was the only Lady Eagle to sniff double-digits. Sabrina Pickford and Tiana Wheeler each had 8 points, Shaylee Oyer had 6, Abbey Litzenberg 4 points and McKayla Swank had 3 points.

SCORING BY QUARTER:

Lakewood Park  17  16  13  24 – 70
North Central  13  9  18  9 – 49
