MONTPELIER – Size, experience and a heapin’ helpin’ of Lauren Dye made for a long night for the ladies of Monclova Christian on January 4, as they ran into a big blue buzzsaw at The Railyard in Montpelier. The Lady Locomotives outrebounded their visitors by a 30-19 clip and Dye landed a game-high 20 to lead the hometown girls to a 67-17 humbling of their visitors.
Hannah Blake backed Dye with 18 for Montpelier, with Baylee Hageman adding 9 points and Christina Prather 8. Aleah Maas posted 6 points, and Hayley Green, Regan Steffes and Hayley Suffel had 2 points apiece.
