BRYAN – On February 11, 2017, the Liberty Center 7th Grade Girls Basketball Team captured the NWOAL Tournament Championship pulling off the upset in downing the top seeded Bryan Lady Golden Bears by a final of 26-18.
Trailing 6-2 after the first quarter, the 3rd seeded Lady Tigers outscored Bryan 12-2 in the second quarter to take 14-9 lead at halftime and never looked back from there,
Lucy Jones led the Lady Tigers with 9 points. Aubree Hollenbaugh and Kylie Kern chipped in 6 each.
Addie Arnold paced the Lady Bears with 7 points, while Delilah Taylor added 5. Amaiah Valderas, Ellen Murphy and Allie Zimmerman put in 2 points each.
