Local Historian to Speak In Wauseon

N0353500Pastor Keith A. Hunsinger, the interim senior pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wauseon, is also a Civil War history buff who will speak at a society sponsored event on April 6 at 1:00pm at the Congregational Church at 135 W. Elm St. The lecture will be proceeded by Songs of the Civil War, led by Jim Kerr from 12:30 –1:00pm, and guests will have a chance to visit with Keith between 2 and 4pm at a Civil War Exhibit Opening reception at the museum. Food to be provided by AKA Deisgns, Ltd. in Wauseon.

Keith was an adolescent during the Civil War centennial and began his lifetime interest in the struggle then. He has visited and led tours of the fields at Gettysburg, Antietam, and the Fredericksburg-Chancellorsville complex of battlefields. He has spoken on the civil war in Florida and in a number of locations in Northwest Ohio.

This coming summer, Pastor Hunsinger is leading a group of Civil War enthusiasts on a nine day trip during the sesquicentennial of the Battles of Gettysburg.

Prior to his time in Wauseon, Pastor Hunsinger has served as a pastor in Fremont, Oak Harbor, Defiance, and Delphos, OH and in Lakeland and Clearwater, FL.
