Lois MoehrmanLois N. Moehrman, 81 years, of Sherwood, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance. Lois was born August 1, 1934 in Roanoke, North Carolina, the daughter of the late James Noah and Maude (Lynch) Carroll. She married Gayland “Butch” Moehrman on August 20, 1971 in Fostoria, Ohio, and he survives. Lois was a devoted wife and mother who loved to take care of her family and her home. She enjoyed crocheting, caring for her flowers, and watching nature, especially deer and birds.

Surviving is her husband Gayland “Butch” Moehrman of Sherwood; three children, Chuck Mann of Jasper, Texas, Mike (Sharon) Mann of Defiance, and Byron (Lori) Mann of Westerville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; four sisters, Agnes Page, Sophia Jones, Virginia Rogers all of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Maude Cox of Cary, North Carolina; two brothers, Edward Carroll and Donald Carroll, also of Raleigh, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, James, Bill and Louis Carroll and one great-granddaughter, Natasha Robertson.

Visitation for Lois N. Moehrman will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood. Funeral services for Lois Moehrman will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in the funeral home with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, 6825 State Route 66 North, Defiance, Ohio 43512, or to the Defiance County Humane Society, 7159 State Route 15, Defiance, Ohio 43512.
