Michael J. Ricker, age 54, of Delta, with family by his side; passed away at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Monday morning, November 18, 2024 after a courageous battle with several health issues.
He was born in Wauseon on August 14, 1970 to Robert Ricker and Marcia (Studer) Ricker. Michael graduated from Delta High School and Four County Vocational in 1989.
For over 30 years he worked at Sauder Manufacturing in Archbold. On April 1, 2017, he married Julie LeVeck and together shared seven loving years together. Mike was a member of the Wauseon VFW Auxiliary and the Henry County Sportsman’s Club.
He was quite the outdoorsman and accomplished marksman. Mike enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting, kayaking and camping. Since early childhood he cheered on his Pittsburgh Steelers and was an avid OSU Buckeye fan.
Mike is survived by his parents, Bob and Marcia Ricker of Reading, MI; wife, Julie A. Ricker of Wauseon; son, Chris Weirauch of Wauseon; stepdaughter, Erika (John) Schwind of Lyons; sister, Erin (Wesley) Deck of Delta; grandchildren, Alex, Emma, Noah, Evan, Sara and Liam; niece, Chelsea Demoulin and great nephew, Lucas White.
Friends and family may visit from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St Hwy 109, Delta, Ohio 43515. A memorial service celebrating Mike’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 also at the funeral home. Pastor Kent Winkler will be officiating.
