Miss Jacee Altaffer Crowned 2023 Montpelier Homecoming Queen

Montpelier came out the night of Sept. 29, 2023, a Friday, to share in the 2023 Homecoming Ceremony and game.

This year’s freshman attendant, Miss Peightyn Black, daughter of Kelsey Neville and Josh Black, was escorted by Wesley Hartsock, son of Amanda Decker and Mitch Hartsock, and Malachi Smith, son of Darby Clark and Nate Smith.

The 2023 sophomore attendant, Miss Harlee Salazar, is the daughter of Julia and Anthongy Salazar.  Her escorts were Griffin Cooley, son of Bess and Brian Cooley, and Carter Waterston, son of Savannah Mattern and Brandon Waterston.

MHS juniors were represented by Miss Olivia Stefanelli, daughter of Deb and Joe Stefanelli. Her escorts were Gary Robinson, son of Mary and Paul Robinson, and Kamron Smith, son of Darby Clark and Nate Smith.

Senior queen candidate Miss Jacee Altaffer, the daughter of Jill and Todd Altaffer, was escorted by Brayden Brink, son of Katy Green and Scott Brink, and Nathan Rummel, son of Yolee Bohner and Kyle Rummel.

Senior queen candidate Miss Raegan Jacob is the daughter of Mandy Goodnight and Ken Jacob.  Her escorts were Landon Fackler, son of Raya and Chad Fackler, and Carter Wade, son of Nikki Wade and Justin Wade.


The senior queen candidate was Miss Meara McGee, daughter of Erin and Dan McGee and was escorted by Eli Fackler, son of Lisa and Tate Fackler, and Brennen Friend, son of Stephanie and Todd Friend.

Then, the moment the queen candidates had been waiting for arrived.

Crowned as the 2023 Montpelier High School Homecoming Queen was Miss Jacee Altaffer, who regally reigned over all dancing at the school Saturday night.
