Located in the center of downtown Edgerton, a beautiful mural is starting to take shape. The mural being painted by artist Amy Buchs, is being done on the south side of Rita’s Restaurant.

The mural was designed by Edgerton resident and businessman Carl Yarger. That’s what Buchs will be working on. She has previously done several murals, including three in Butler, Indiana.

The Edgerton Chamber of Commerce has raised most of the funds for the mural project but $2,500 is still needed to complete the project.

Buchs started working on the mural this past Friday and Mayor Robert Day estimates the project will be completed in about two weeks.

The finished mural should enhance the Edgerton downtown experience for travelers and Edgerton residents.
