PRESS RELEASE – The Archbold Community Library is thrilled to announce the hiring of Kenzie Keene, the new Youth Services Specialist at the Archbold Community Library.

Ms. Martie Yunker, the outgoing Youth Services Specialist, served at the Library for seven years before retiring in December.

Kenzie worked in public libraries before, serving as the Children’s Librarian & Head Librarian at the Wauseon Public Library from 2022-2025.

Keene says, “I am unbelievably grateful for this chance to serve the Archbold community and its littlest patrons!

“The Archbold Community Library has been such an unexpected blessing over my life, and I am thrilled to be a part of this fantastic team which serves such a welcoming and fun neighborhood!

“In my time at the Wauseon Public Library, I learned that family truly is the heart of community. It is my hope and my goal to carry on the exceptional work of Ms. Martie by continuing to foster the love of reading in hearts both big and small!

Spring programming begins the week of January 26th; registration is required.

The library is inviting patrons and families to come meet Kenzie the week before, on Thursday, January 22nd from 5:30-7:30 pm at an Open House.

Families can see and use the Library’s relatively new Early Literacy Center, get to know Kenzie, tour the Library’s kitchen, and end in the Community Room where light refreshments will be provided. All are welcome!
