The North Central Board of Education held a special meeting on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. in the High School Eagle Room. The meeting was called to order, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The roll call reported that all members were in attendance: President Kati Burt, Vice President Tim Livengood, Chuck Haynes, John Huffman, and Dustin Meyers.

Following the opening of the meeting, President Kati Burt appointed Vice President Livengood as Treasurer pro-tempore due to Treasurer Eric Smeltzer’s absence.

This temporary appointment ensured the continuation of district financial operations during Smeltzer’s scheduled vacation.

In the treasurer’s report, the board approved a motion to table the approval of minutes from July 15, 2025, work session and regular meetings. The motion was made by Livengood, seconded by Haynes.

The board then approved a motion to enter into a Shared Service Contract with Shared Service Alliance, as described in the Treasurer Services documents. The motion was made by Haynes, seconded by Huffman.

Under the consent agenda for personnel matters, the employment of McKayla Ayers as a long-term substitute teacher for first grade was approved. The resignation of Casey Wilcox, Intervention Specialist, was also accepted. The motion was made by Huffman, seconded by Meyers.

A resolution to adjourn was made by Meyers, seconded by Burt, and passed by unanimous roll call. The meeting adjourned at 8:04 a.m.
