North Central School Board Addresses August Agenda

The North Central Board of Education met on August 18 to address the items on their August agenda. All members of the board were present for the meeting.

The board asked for a guideline on the use of the weight room to be put together as well as for a review of the alcohol policy for school events to be reviewed and possibly revised.

Principals also gave reports on their areas of responsibility.

Minutes, financial statements, and investments from July gained board approval.

Employment gaining board approval included:

•Penny Miller – Elementary Intervention (Co-Teacher, Grade 6)

•Krystal Beres – JH/HS Education Aide (full time)

•Rebecca Eustace – JH/HH Education Aide (4 hours)

•Stacey Turner – Cafeteria (2 hours)

•Melissa Fackler – Cafeteria Substitute

•Lisa Hayes – Cafeteria Substitute

One year supplemental contracts held by certified employees were also approved for:

•Joe Fidler – JV Girls Basketball Coach

•Sally Wheeler – Jr High Faculty Manager

•Sharon Deetz – Entry Year Mentor

•Joe House – Entry Year Mentor

Custom Agri System

•Connie Myers – Entry Year Mentor

One year supplemental contracts held by classified employees were approved for:

•Kim Hutchison – Ticket Seller (All HS Sporting Events)

•Tiana Wheeler – Volunteer Assistant Girls Volleyball

Nickloy’s

•Other items gaining board approval included:

•Van Drivers for 2015-16

•The Agreement with Wood County Juvenile Detention Center for 2015-16

•Elementary/JH/HS Staff Handbooks for 2015-16

Lifeline Health

•Appropriation additions

•Homer Hendricks chosen as delegate and Craig McKarns as alternate to the OSBA annual business meeting

•The amendment to approve the CMR-GMP building project document.

Items discussed by the board included:

Direct Linq Bryan

•The building project, including progress, schedule, and traffic patterns

•2015 State Budget items

•2015-16 School year

The next meeting of the North Central Board of Education will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
