LIBERTY CENTER 1/31/2014—The Wauseon Indians boys bowling team won a closely contested matchup against the Tigers of Liberty Center. The bowlers came away with a 2353-2276 victory.
In the first game of the contest, Liberty Center would jump ahead of the Tribe 889-876. In the first game, Nic Kearney lead the Indian’s with a score of 196. Clayton Ricker was next with a 181, Noah Stickley rolled a 167, Kevin Moden put up a 163, and Peyton Shadbolt finished with a 160.
The Indians were edged out again in the second game, this time by only two point 897-895. Kearney lead the way in game number two for the Tribe with a 185. Shadbolt followed with a 181, Ricker rolled a 180, Stickley had a 177, and Moden rounded out the game with a 172. This would put Wauseon in a 1786-1762 hole going in to the three baker games.
In the first of the three baker games, the Indians overtook the lead, outscoring the Tigers 195-147.
Their lead expanded in the second baker game, as the team rolled a 191 to Liberty Center’s 169.
Wauseon’s best baker game would be the last one, as they roled a 205, meanwhile the Tigers could only muster a 174, sealing the Tribe’s 2353-2276 victory.
