2656235_m (1)Leonard Lee “LJ” Harris, Jr., age 16, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo. LJ was a sophomore at Wauseon High School.

LJ was born in Lima, Ohio on June 18, 1998, the son of Leonard Lee Harris, Sr. and Mandi (Gerken) Harris. He was an active member of Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon and had served at Miracle Camp in Lawton, Michigan. He was a member of the F.F.A. in Wauseon and was also the manager for the Wauseon High School Wrestling Team. He enjoyed working in the wood shop and going fishing. LJ is survived by his father, Leonard Lee Harris, Sr. of Cleveland; his mother, Mandi (Gerken) Harris of Lima; brothers, Devon Harris of Wauseon, Dustin Harris of Lima, Aaron Harris of Wauseon; sister, Logan Harris of Cleveland; “brother”, Rosston Gerken of Wauseon; aunts and uncles, Chris and Joy Crew of Wauseon, Andrea and Jeremy Gerken of Wauseon; niece, Blair Harris of Wauseon; and close family friends, Brett and Laurie-Ann Wyse of Delta.

Visitation for LJ will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 1, 2014 in the Narthex at Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday. Pastor Nate Hamblin and Pastor Tyler Quillet will officiate the funeral. Due to the unanticipated loss of LJ, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the family to help with expenses. If any additional funds are received, they will go towards scholarships for Miracle Camp. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
