Metamora – The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an injury crash which occurred at the intersection of US 20 and County Road 1 in Amboy Township, Fulton County on December 10, 2020 at approximately 7:50 a.m.
A 2013 Chrysler 200 driven by 33 year old Ronald Morgan of Metamora, Ohio, was southbound on County Road 1. A 2020 Volvo semi was driven by Uriel Wheatley, age 50 of Woodstock, Ontario, and was eastbound on US 20. Mr. Morgan failed to yield the right of way, and struck the middle of two trailers hauled by Mr. Wheatley.
Mr. Morgan sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by ground ambulance to Toledo Hospital. Mr. Wheatley received no injury from the crash.
Alcohol is not a factor in the crash, safety belts were being used, and US 20 was shut down for approximately 1 hour.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, Richfield Township Fire Department, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The crash remains under investigation.
