Ralph F. Sink, 73, of Bryan, Ohio, was taken home by heavenly angels on Wednesday, Dec. 2, after a valiant battle with lung cancer, while vacationing in South Carolina.
Ralph was born on July 14, 1947, to Elmer W. and Catherine P. Sink in Bryan, Ohio. He graduated from Bryan High School in 1966 and he went on to study architecture at the Allied Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. He served four years in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran.
Ralph and his wife of 34 years, Billie Ann (Annie) DeLaughter Sink, were semi-retired and loved living in Bryan, where they could be seen riding their bright green golf-cart with their beloved three Papillons. He and Annie still own an RV service center in Englewood, Florida, for 20 years. Ralph was an avid bowler for many years. At their home in Bryan, he enjoyed several years of gardening, working in his backyard and bird watching.
Survivors include his wife Billie Ann (Annie) DeLaughter Sink; his two daughters, Stacey and Jeffrey Thier of Hicksville, Ohio, and Cassandra and David Donica of Lavon, Texas; his son, Sam (Margaret) Nicholls of Richardson, Texas; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Catherine (Paul) Newcomb, of Bryan. Ralph was pre-deceased by his parents and an infant son, R. Douglas.
As per his wishes, his ashes will be taken “out fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.”
